Such a fun and cute place! It’s a grocery store in the front and then BOOM a little piece of beautiful Mexico in the back with great authentic food at reasonable prices. The food was on point! The people were friendly and the options were many! I saw they have a small stage area and saw signs about Karaoke- but I didn’t experience that so I’m not totally sure. Give this place a try- support local restaurants. These people really care about the food and quality they provide and give you flavorful plates you won’t find in chain restaurants. Try the tortas!
Great food! They catered our company’s cinco de mayo party last minute and did an amazing job. Everyone loved the food! Nice people working here.
The food is authentic and delicious. I ordered chicken tamales and they are large and yummy. The green tomatillo sauce has a great flavor and is spicy but not too hot. We also got the lamb barbacoa, and it was the best I have ever had. The lamb was tender, juicy and had a lovely flavor.. We've lived in San Antonio for 25 years and El Manantial would give some of our favorite places there a run for their money.
I lived in San Diego for 5 years so the bar for tacos is pretty high for me.. that being said the tacos Mexicanos are delicious. Pro tip: if you order pickup add 10-15 minutes to the time they tell you otherwise you’re gonna stand there waiting for a while. Besides that the service is great. Definitely recommend!
Fresh, authentic homemade Mexican food. Can never go wrong, very affordable and consistent. Would recommend stopping in and trying a burrito or tacos, you won’t regret it. One of the best places i’ve been to to be able to enjoy good Mexican food.
Went in for 3 orders of tacos on a Friday night! We called our order in about 15 minutes ahead.
When I went in to pick up the food, the hosted tells me I have to wait because the lady who takes the money is doing karaoke right now.
I stand at the counter and wait until her song is over, and she comes up and says my order will be ready in 5 minutes.
I stepped outside to wait and went back in after about 7 or 8 minutes, only to stand at the counter another 5 minutes waiting.
When the food is finally ready, I pay and head out. After the wait, the staff was really nice though.
We ate the tacos in the car and they were very good. Taste was fresh and tacos were hot.
The grilled jalapeños were 🔥!
I can't say that the food was worth the wait, but it was good. I can't say the wait was bad enough to not go back. If I'm in that area and craving a taco, I'd probably go back. Sorry, no pictures.
Had dinner here tonight and the carnitas tacos were simply amazing. Possibly the best tacos I have ever had. Friendly and quick service. Can’t wait to go back.
Great food .. however a birthday party came in while we were there and our service got very poor. Had to wait forever for the food and then for the check ..not sure as wonderful the food I'd I will go there again.
